Look4Local is a free service for anybody and everybody. It's a new way to discover and share ethical shopping and living choices - we hope you like it and look forward to your comments and suggestions.
However...
Only suppliers who operate in an ethical way including supporting an ethical supply chain are entitled to a Look4Local website. Our online community are gifted with monitoring this. Like all principles of correct moral conduct, ethical living is a necessary and organic process. The definition is varied and improving all the time, as we together take stock of our impact on the world and the lives in it.
Local is Best?
Perhaps… Buying stuff made with local labour and materials supports local communities as well as the environment through fewer travel miles. Then there's the issue of chemical laden foods and other problems familiar to mass-produced goods, such as sweatshops and child labour: It's good to have your eye on the game, which is easier when it's closer to home.
